My parakeet fell into a REALLY DUSTY VENT?
I just bought my parakeet yesterday and I was trying to let it get used to our house. It usually sits downstairs, but today, for an hour, I had my parakeet in my room while my dad was cleaning the floors downstairs. And while I was on the computer, I noticed my parakeet shaking it’s tail a lot. So i looked at it and I noticed there was a poop there. So i decided to grab the parakeet and wipe off the poop. However, the parakeet bit me and I accidently let go! It fell into a VERy dusty vent and got stuck there! I freaked out and after about 2 minutes, I finally got it out and back in the cage.
Can you guys PLEASE tell me if there’s any hazard to the bird (health-wise).
I know it was stupid of me to grab the bird, please don’t critize me on that, i KNOW it’s my fault. Just tell me if I should worry about my parakeet’s health.

Well if human fell into a dusty vent they might get some dust in their body same for the bird . Just to be sure i would take ur parakeet to the vet to check his lungs and throat because you never know! good luck!
It should be fine but just in case you should call your vet and see what they have to say. Good luck!
Yes, parakeets are allergic to dust. don’t ever do that again and don’t grab the bird or it will not come on your finger.
