Parakeet Health Trouble?
i think my parakeet has scaly face. i have been reading up on it and she has alot of the symtoms only its just beginning. what can i do to treat this condition?
oh and how much would it cost if i took her to a vet? i dont have any insurence.

Call around to vets in your area or look up avian vet in the yellowpages.
Birds are fragile and require special care with medical conditions.

it is usually $60. for a vet visit at least around where I live and I’m sure it’s probably close to the same everywhere,and I’m sure he’ll go easy on you if you explain you have no money,good luck.
a vet visit will start at about $65. Scaly face mites MUST be treated by a vet. Home remedies will not work. They are a mite that burrows in the beak and skin.
Talk to the vets and see what they would charge. Work out a payment plan if needed.
Scaley face mites are painful and eventually deform the beak so much that the bird starves to death.
